Mail Redirection

Redirecting mail is a common practice since you can't immediately inform everyone that you have moved. However, there are certain things to consider when setting up the redirection. Redirecting mail at the counter costs more (CHF 47.00 as of November 2025) compared to doing it online (CHF 35.00). Redirecting mail internationally is naturally more expensive. Additionally, additional adults and legal entities will be charged separately.

Important: When it comes to mail redirection, it's crucial to set it up early. What is simply labeled as an "urgent order" on the post.ch website actually means that if you need the redirection to start immediately because you already reside at your new location, it will cost an additional CHF 12.00. Since you usually know your moving date well in advance, make sure to visit the post office at least 4 days beforehand to save that extra money.
