Privacy Policy of top-offerten.ch
Version of 3 November 2026
1. Controller and contact
- The controller responsible for processing your personal data is top-offerten GmbH, Im Rötler 33, 8583 Donzhausen TG, Switzerland (hereinafter top-offerten.ch, we).
- For any questions about data protection and to exercise your rights, you can reach us at info@top-offerten.ch or at the postal address above.
2. Scope
- This privacy policy applies to the websites of top-offerten GmbH (in particular top-offerten.ch and the related websites for individual services and languages), to the customer area and the partner area at my.top-offerten.ch, and to inquiries that reach us through forms on the websites of distribution partners.
- It applies to customers who submit an inquiry or book a move via «Sorglos Umzug», to partners (registered service companies and their contact persons) and to visitors of our websites.
- The general terms and conditions for customers (/customer-conditions) and for partners (/conditions) apply in addition.
3. Data we process
- Inquiry data: name, e-mail address, telephone number, addresses (for example moving-out and moving-in location), desired date and the details of the job (for example apartment size, furniture list, additional services).
- Customer area and communication: login data, messages between customer and partner, quotations, e-mails and text messages that we send in connection with the inquiry.
- «Sorglos Umzug» bookings: chosen company, date, price, accepted version of the booking terms, payment and refund status. We do not receive complete card data; it is processed by the payment service provider.
- Reviews: stars, text, date, first name with initial of the last name, and town.
- Usage data: pages visited, time, browser and device, referring page and campaign parameters (for example from an ad). In our internal usage analysis we store IP addresses in pseudonymised form as hash values. For certain security events, such as access to another person's account, we store the full IP address to investigate misuse. Integrated external services also receive your IP address when the connection is established.
- Partners: company and contact data, information from public registers (commercial register, UID register), submitted proof (for example proof of insurance or social insurance), settings, inquiries obtained, balance, invoices and payments.
4. Purposes of processing
- Forwarding your inquiry to suitable partners and operating the customer and partner areas.
- Handling «Sorglos Umzug» bookings, including deposit, cancellation, refund and choice of a replacement company.
- Communicating with you, customer service and handling complaints.
- Collecting, checking and publishing reviews.
- Checking, activating and invoicing partners.
- Security of the websites, detecting and preventing misuse (for example fictitious inquiries or automated reading).
- Improving the websites, statistics and measuring the success of our advertising.
- Information about our own similar services (section 7.3).
- Compliance with legal obligations, for example retention of accounting records.
5. Disclosure to partners
- To forward your inquiry, we disclose your details and contact data to up to five partners registered for the requested service area and region. For a «Sorglos Umzug» booking, the chosen moving company receives the data.
- From receipt, the partner processes your data as a separate controller for preparing the quotation and carrying out the job. This processing is governed by the partner's privacy policy.
- If a partner uses its own business system (for example the ERP Kibora) and has connected it to its partner account, we transmit the inquiries it has obtained directly into that system on its behalf.
- Partners are contractually obliged to use the data only for the quotation and the job and not to pass it on.
6. Reviews
- After a job, we invite you by e-mail to review the partner. We publish your review with stars, text, date, first name with initial of the last name, and town on our own websites, in particular on the partner's profile, and use it in advertising for top-offerten.ch.
- You may ask us at any time to delete your review. We then remove it from our websites and no longer use it in advertising. We cannot subsequently change printed matter already distributed; your statutory rights remain reserved.
- From the texts of published reviews, we create a summary for the partner's profile using an AI service. We transmit the review texts to the AI service without the authors' name and contact details. Personal data that you mention yourself in the review text is transmitted as well.
- After certain reviews, we show a notice that automatically forwards you to Google or to Trusted Shops after eight seconds so that you can leave an additional review there. You can cancel the forwarding. When Trusted Shops is called up, your e-mail address and an identifier of your inquiry are transmitted via the destination address, even if you do not leave a review there. Whatever you write there is processed by the respective provider under its own terms.
7. E-mails, text messages and advertising
- We send e-mails via Amazon Simple Email Service (Amazon Web Services) with servers in Zurich. We send text messages, for example to confirm your telephone number or to notify you of a new quotation, via Amazon Web Services (servers in Zurich) or Vonage.
- Our e-mails contain tracking pixels and redirect links. They allow us to see whether an e-mail was delivered or opened or whether a link was clicked. We use this for customer service, deliverability and improving our e-mails.
- If you have used our matching or booking service and we informed you of the option to refuse when collecting your e-mail address, we may send you information by e-mail about our own similar services (for example matching for cleaning, disposal or moving supplies), unless you have refused. Each such e-mail contains a simple, free unsubscribe link. In all other cases and for advertising of third-party offers, we obtain your express consent beforehand.
- You receive notices about your inquiry or booking (for example confirmations and quotation notifications) regardless of this.
8. Payments
- We process «Sorglos Umzug» deposits and payments by partners via Stripe, PostFinance Checkout or Datatrans. You enter the payment data directly with the payment service provider; we only receive the information needed for processing (for example amount, status and a reference).
9. Cookies, analytics and advertising
- We use technically necessary cookies and similar technologies, for example for the session, protection against misuse, login to the customer and partner areas, and the shopping cart. Without them, the websites do not work properly.
- Through Google Tag Manager we also integrate statistics and advertising services: Google Analytics, conversion tracking and remarketing of Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising (UET), Microsoft Clarity, OpenAI conversion tracking for ads in ChatGPT (OpenAI Pixel) and the Meta Pixel for ads on Facebook and Instagram. These services set cookies or read device identifiers to measure how the websites are used and which ads led to an inquiry, and to show you ads of top-offerten.ch on other websites. Microsoft Clarity also records how pages are used (for example clicks and scrolling).
- When you submit an inquiry, we transmit your e-mail address to Google Ads as a hash value so that Google can attribute the inquiry to an ad; this is done via the form and partly afterwards by our servers. In addition, we provide Google Ads daily with a list of hashed e-mail addresses and telephone numbers of customers from the last twelve months and a list of hashed e-mail addresses of partner companies and their user accounts (including former partners) in order to steer our ads, for example to exclude partners from ads for recruiting partners (Customer Match). Google matches these identifiers with its user accounts; the data is therefore not anonymous. If you have objected to advertising or Customer Match, or deleted your customer account, we do not include you in the customer list and transmit conversions without your hashed contact details. When you submit an inquiry, the OpenAI Pixel reports it to OpenAI with its value and a reference number so that OpenAI can recognise whether it resulted from an ad in ChatGPT. In doing so, the Pixel detects contact details such as your e-mail address in the form and transmits them only as a hash value, not in plain text.
- If you reach us through an ad on Facebook or Instagram, the Meta Pixel reports your inquiry to Meta with its value and a reference number. In addition, our servers transmit the inquiry to Meta (Conversions API) and, a few days later, the revenue we earned from it, so that Meta can attribute the inquiry to the ad. We transmit your e-mail address only as a hash value, together with the ad click identifier, your IP address and your browser identifier; we keep this technical data for this purpose for no more than seven days. If you have objected to advertising, we transmit only the ad click identifier.
- You may object at any time to processing for statistics and advertising purposes. You can block and delete cookies in your browser; blocking only third-party cookies does not prevent all analytics and advertising methods. You can also deactivate Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout). The ad settings of Google (myadcenter.google.com), Microsoft (account.microsoft.com/privacy/ad-settings) and Meta (accountscenter.facebook.com/ad_preferences) control the personalisation of ads. To object to conversion tracking by our servers and to Customer Match, contact info@top-offerten.ch.
10. Service providers
- We use service providers that process data on our behalf, as well as services that also process certain data as separate controllers. In particular, the payment service providers as well as Google, Microsoft, OpenAI and Meta partly process data for their own purposes, for example for fraud prevention, compliance with legal obligations or improving their services; their privacy policies apply to this. Depending on the service, these are (country of processing in brackets):
- hosting of the websites and databases: Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany, data centre in Nuremberg), managed via Laravel Forge (USA);
- backups: Infomaniak Network AG and Hostpoint AG (Switzerland);
- e-mail delivery: Amazon Web Services (Switzerland, servers in Zurich);
- text message delivery: Amazon Web Services (Switzerland, servers in Zurich) and Vonage (United Kingdom, USA);
- payments: Stripe (Ireland, USA), PostFinance Ltd and Datatrans Ltd (Switzerland);
- error and performance monitoring: Sentry and Laravel Nightwatch (processing possibly in the USA);
- AI service for texts on company profiles and review summaries: OpenAI (USA);
- map tiles on pages showing companies nearby: CARTO (Spain, USA; map data from OpenStreetMap); your browser loads the tiles directly from CARTO and thereby transmits your IP address;
- statistics and advertising: Google (Ireland, USA), Microsoft (Ireland, USA), OpenAI (USA) and Meta Platforms (Ireland, USA).
- We operate the chat function between customer and partner on our own servers.
11. Disclosure abroad
- Some service providers process data outside Switzerland. The states of the EU and the EEA as well as the United Kingdom provide adequate data protection.
- The USA does not provide generally adequate data protection. There we rely on the recipient's certification under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, where it exists, and otherwise on the standard contractual clauses with the adjustments for Switzerland that form part of the provider's contractual terms.
12. Retention
- We delete usage data after 60 days. Excluded are conversion events (which page or ad led to an inquiry) and the session data linked to them; we keep these without a fixed deletion period to evaluate our advertising.
- We delete stored e-mails after 6 months and the e-mail delivery log after 12 months.
- We keep inquiries, bookings, messages and customer accounts without a fixed deletion period, as long as they are needed for matching, handling and documenting our services, for statistics and quality assurance, and for asserting or defending claims. We keep accounting records, for example invoices and payment receipts, for the statutory period of 10 years.
- If you delete your customer account in the customer area, we close the account and remove your e-mail address and telephone number from the account and from your inquiry.
- The periods mentioned refer to our production data. We keep backups on a tiered basis: daily backups for 14 days, weekly for 26 weeks, monthly for 48 months and yearly for 12 years. They may therefore contain older data.
13. Data security
- We protect your data with appropriate technical and organisational measures, in particular encrypted transmission, access restrictions and regular backups.
14. Your rights
- You may ask us at any time whether and which personal data we process about you.
- You may have incorrect data corrected and request the deletion of your data, provided no retention obligation or overriding interest in retention prevents this.
- You may object to processing, in particular to advertising (section 7.3) and to processing for statistics and advertising purposes including Customer Match (section 9).
- Under the conditions of Art. 28 of the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), you may request the release of the personal data you have disclosed to us in a common electronic format, and its transfer to another controller, provided this does not require disproportionate effort.
- Send your request to info@top-offerten.ch. To prevent misuse, we may ask you to prove your identity.
- You may also contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, www.edoeb.admin.ch).
15. Changes
- We may amend this privacy policy. The version published on this page applies.
- This privacy policy exists in several languages. In case of discrepancies, the German version prevails.
